Clayton Echard is speaking out amid the allegations that he fathered a woman’s unborn child.
An anonymous woman claims that she had a one-night-stand with the former The Bachelor star and that she is now pregnant with his child.
In her legal documents documents, the woman claims she offered to have Clayton take a prenatal paternity test and that they even had a test scheduled for August 23, but he “refused” to show up. They are reportedly scheduled to have a test taken on September 26.
Clayton told the U.S. Sun, “My response is in the court documents. I’m not giving it the time of day because it’s baseless. We did not have sexual intercourse.” He also reportedly plans on suing the woman.
Now, Clayton is sharing some receipts.
Clayton took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday (September 21) to share a receipt of the paternity test he ordered from Ravgen Diagnostics in Maryland.
He also shared a screenshot of an email in which he told the lab, “I will take my portion of the test on the 27th of September. [REDACTED] will take her portion on the 2nd of October. Results will then take about a week to get back. I believe we’re all on the same page now. Thank you!”
In a statement posted to another Instagram story, Clayton claims the woman has made similar allegations before.
“Since posting, I’ve been notified (and have confirmed) that there are other individuals out there with nearly identical accusations being made against them by the exact same person. Some of the court cases are still publicly accessible and active,” he said.
If you weren’t aware, Clayton ended his season of The Bachelor with girlfriend Susie Evans by his side, but they split in September 2022 just six months after the finale aired.
