The administration of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has sadly confirmed the passing of one of its students, identified as Mrs. Henrietta Ntiako-Antwi. Mrs. Ntiako-Antwi, a third-year Doctor of Pharmacy student, tragically lost her life during childbirth.
This heartbreaking news was officially announced on the university’s social media platforms, accompanied by a tribute expressing condolences to the grieving family.
According to the report, Mrs. Ntiako-Antwi faced complications that led to her untimely demise after giving birth. Thankfully, her baby survived.
Students and sympathizers have taken to social media to mourn the loss of their fellow student, remembering her as a sociable and humble individual.

Regrettably, this tragedy follows closely on the heels of other unfortunate incidents at the university.
Just a month ago, a second-year student named Lambert Frimpong lost his life in a tragic stabbing incident stemming from a confrontation over a t-shirt. Additionally, another third-year student majoring in Real Estate Management was found deceased in her hostel.
These incidents are undoubtedly painful and have deeply affected the KNUST community.
