The France Branch of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has denied reports that it endorsed or showered praises on Mr. John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, one of the aspirants in the NPP flagbearership race to show that they prefer him to the others.
The branch emphasized that the report’s author is unknown and cannot claim to be a branch member.
The branch explained that at its 11th-anniversary celebration, all flagbearer aspirants were adequately represented, with the Vice President as a guest speaker.
“The NPP France Branch strongly disassociates itself from the false statement or publication by an imposter who is not a branch member and would like all good-willed people and ‘democrats by choice’ to disregard the fabrication and propaganda. This was diabolically woven to ruin the excellent reputation of the NPP France Branch,” the statement signed by its branch Chairman and Secretary stated.
A report by Samuel Ninson suggested that the event saw patrons, mostly diasporans, full of praise for Alan Kyerematen’s candidature and played his song throughout the program.
But the leadership of the NPP in France has discounted the claim describing the report as a fiction of someone’s imagination.
