A memorandum from the Director of Human Resource of the Electoral Commission of Ghana addressed to its Head Office and Regional Directors have revealed that the Presidency has requested that all workers of state agencies in senior management positions such as director and above are requested to submit their CVs to the Office of the President.

“This comes to inform you that the Office of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has requested the Senior Management of State Agencies curricula vitae from the Director and above.

You are therefore requested to submit your CVs by noon today, 29th May 2023…, the memorandum stated.

It is unclear why the President is demanding the CVs of all persons in senior management positions of all state institutions. But political Scientist Prof Ransford Gyampo has stated that such demands amount to interference for independent institutions such as the Electoral Commission and must not be tolerated.
