An aide to the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has stated that Parliamentary seats are not the personal property of specific individuals.
Joyce Bawa Mogtari has come under attack for supporting her husband Hudu Mogtari in his quest to take over the Wa Central seat for the National Democratic Congress(NDC) currently occupied by Dr. Rashid Pelpuo.
To many, the former President’s aide should have focused on her job with John Dramani Mahama rather than poke her nose into the politics of the people of Wa Central.
But in a post shared via her social media page, Joyce Bawa indicated that “Parliamentary seats are not bona fide property’s, they are not a birthright!“.
Four persons are contesting for the parliamentary candidate position in Wa Central.
The incumbent Rashid Pelpuo is been contested by three other aspirants, Alhaj Hudu Mogtari, Lawyer Mutiu Rahman, and Wahid Bampuore.
