Member of Parliament (MP) for Sagnarigu Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini has said that even though he lost the recently held National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries of the Constituency, ordinary persons celebrate him and love him. He added that as a Muslim, he considers his loss as the doing of Allah.
“I am a Muslim. Everything that happens, we say it is the will of Allah…So I am not somebody who goes into what destiny has decided otherwise, there is a big story to tell,” he said on 3FM in an interview with journalist Johnnie Hughes.
He stressed that even though the delegates did not renew his mandate, his constituents greatly appreciate his work as a Member of Parliament for three terms.
“Johnnie, I can say without any iota of doubt that the good people of Sagnarigu celebrate me. I can tell you even today. Johnnie, I have never been kicked out…They did not endorse me for another term. But I can tell you – and I wish one of these days, you take your cameras and others and go to Sagnarigu and talk to the ordinary people on the ground. The delegates did not renew my mandate, but I can assure you that I am so well-appreciated by the people of Sagnarigu. If for nothing at all, they have given me three solid terms. Johnnie, I can tell you that you don’t realize the importance of your buttocks until there is a boil on it,” he said.
ABA Fuseini, widely admired for his love of proverbs, lost to a much younger candidate Attah Isaah.
