Simi has responded to certain Burna Boy fans who asserted that her husband, Adekunle Gold, is imitating his fashion sense.
People compared the parallels between Adekunle and Burna’s fashion taste and musical personalities on the microblogging site Twitter.
They posted pictures of the pair wearing attire that was identical and the same colour, comparing it to the ‘Something Different’ singer stealing the African Giant’s look.
One tweep captioned the pictures; “The Burna Boy plagiarism is really so obvious and very annoying at this point. man can’t you just be yourself? same posture, same glasses, same smile. wtf ?!
It’s been going on for awhile now and we need to speak on now he’s already linking with Odg’s pals. the most annoying part of it all is that he doesn’t acknowledge that he copies Odg in anyway. y’all really want to say this is coincidence?! LMAOO, na to go sing Last Last remain for am.”
Reacting to the allegation, Simi noted that people who are gainfully employed or busy with their lives would not have time to create such banter online.
She wrote; “People that have good things going on in their lives really never do shit like this.
And that’s facts for everyone. When you come on the internet talking nonsense about anyone minding their damn business, your life is most likely sad and you’re distracting yourself. So it’s you I’m sorry for.”
