Renowned Ghanaian Sports Journalists Saddick Adams believes that most Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) in the country are useless.
He says they are a duplication of roles and it will be wise if these roles are merged in order to save the country’s overhead cost of running all these Ministries.
Saddick Adams believes that Ghana will not be challenged economically if these duplicated Ministries and Agencies were not in existence.
“Majority of our Ministries and Agencies are very useless. Apparent we could merge five or six of them and that could save a lot.”
His position is supported by Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong who believes that Ghana does not need more Ministers to get the country to work.
Mr. Agyepong who spoke on Accra-based Happy FM said he has always been against the huge number of Ministers in government and believes that it’s about time the country gets to rethink about these appointments.
He says what’s even worrying is the fact that these numerous Ministries have one, two or three Deputy Ministers whose job portfolios one cannot tell.
