He made this known while talking about the needed reshuffle done by the former President when it mattered.
Although he didn’t mention names but used initials, Prof. Gyampo mentioned that Kufour’s reshuffles were strategic and relieved persons who were non-performing.
“Kufuor, the greatest President in Ghana’s 4th Republic had the courage to reshuffle OM from Finance to Education & later demoted him by creating a Senior Minister position for him. He did the same to NADAA and DB. He virtually fired KAA!”
There have been calls on the current President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to reshuffle his appointees.
There is the belief that if there is a reshuffle, appointees will be put on their toes and work towards making Ghana better.
But the President hasn’t heeded the calls, especially from members of his political party.
Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko who is a leading member of the NPP has said that the President cannot be coaxed into reshuffling appointees because that will not change the world challenges that have brought the country to its knees.
