Chairman Wontumi, the NPP’s regional chairman for Ashanti, has pledged to spearhead the effort to elect Dr. Bawumia as president of Ghana.
Prior to the National Delegates Conference, while running for John Boadu, he made this audacious claim.
He advised the NPP’s Northern leaders to support John Boadu and made a vow to support Dr. Bawumia in his bid to become the party’s flag bearer and succeed President Akufo-Addo.
An outspoken supporter of President Akufo-Addo, Chairman Wontumi, publicly endorsed Dr. Bawumia in the NPP presidential primary.
In the much-awaited primaries, the vice president will face off against Allan Kyerematen, Kennedy Agyapong, Joe Ghartey, Agyarko, and others.
