The Right Honorable Alban Kingsford Bagbin’s frequent visits to the United Arab Emirates have been questioned by John Boadu, the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
The Speaker’s medical review travels to Dubai have sparked controversy.
Following Mr. Bagbin’s medical leave to Dubai on Friday, January 7, 2022, former Convention People’s Party (CPP) General Secretary James Kwabena Bomfeh, also known as Kabila, petitioned the Speaker to resign.
He argued; ”If we need to save the Speaker, let save the Speaker by asking him to resign quietly so that somebody who is healthy and stronger can occupy the space. After all, when he resigns today, he’s entitled to all the things that he is entitled to till he dies.”
