Member of the Communications Team for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Edudzi Tamakloe has expressed worry over the President’s insistence on carrying his chair around.

He indicates that it’s not a worry to carry a chair around but the fact that there is a dedicated V8 for the purpose is worrying and an affront to the people who voted him into power.

Edudzi Tamakloe who was speaking on Accra-based Metro TV said the President the President has no right whatsoever to use public funds t support his spiritual life even if it’s a direction given by his prophet.

“What is the justification for providing a whole V8 to carry the Presidential chair around. If you see the kind of taxes this incompetent government is imposing on the good people of this country.

“Please who should be funding the President’s spirituality? the tax payer? that the tax payer, if the president has received his spiritual direction, why should that be the burden of the Ghanaian tax payer?”

He indicated that currently, some of the things the government is engaged has reached the point of insanity.

“To think that a government that is telling you and i to sacrifice, to share burden with them, to tighten our belt, they don’t even have a belt hole, so where is the leadership.”
