The police have been on special anti-robbery intelligence-led operations in the past 48 hours across the country.
The exercises, according to the Ghana Police Service, have led to the arrest of six suspected armed robbers.
In a statement released by the Service on Thursday, January 6, five others were killed in the gun battle.
The operations are continuing in the Northern and Western-North regions, according to the police.
“The full detail will be communicated in due course,” the police said.
