In December last year the ruling New Patriotic Party organized her National Delegates Conference to present some proposals for the party’s adoption. The Conference saw the gathering of a plethora of party big wigs with the President playing as lead guest. However, in the midst of the pomp and pageantry alongside the personalities, something was missing.
The observation was significant because the missing personality, Alan Kyerematen is no mean an individual. He is one of the two likely candidates expected to represent the NPP in the 2024 elections. His absence caused a lot of people to think that his chances are being dwindled so Dr. Bawumia has a free ride to victory.
On Good Morning Ghana today, Thursday, January 6, 2022, Buaben Asamoa, An NPP Deputy Communications Director was posed with that question. Annie Ampofo asked why Alan failed to attend the programme. According to Buaben Asamoa he isn’t not aware if Alan was available or not. He explained that he didn’t see the Trades Minister but this doesn’t mean Alan was not available. He added that Alan might have his own reasons and no one should try to allude reasons to his supposed absence.
Buaben Asamoa also noted that about 5 candidates are gearing up for the flagbearer race but he added that there are rumors that Dr. Konadu Apraku might join the race.
