Milovan Rajevac has backed Thomas Partey to demonstrate his exceptional qualities in the Black Stars remaining games at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Arsenal midfielder failed to impress, dropping an average performance in midfield as Ghana succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Morocco on Monday.

As one of the best players in the team, Partey is expected to shine and Rajevac perfectly understands.

He admits the former Atletico Madrid man, like many others, was disappointing against Morocco but has not lost faith in him.

The Serbian has urged Partey to dominate games, starting from Friday’s crucial encounter against Gabon.

“We analyzed the match, Thomas maybe this match performance was not at his level but he’s a great player and will prove critics wrong. I think he will be the best in this tournament,” Rajevac said.

Partey will start on Friday as Black Stars aim to secure all three points against Gabon after their stuttering start to the tournament. This encounter could possibly propel Gabon into the next stage of the competition if they avoid defeat.

However, it’s all or nothing for Ghana as they need a win to stand a chance to qualify to the Round of 16 stage of the competition.
