Ghanaian of Lebanese descent and activist of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Fadi Samih Daboussi has cursed some Teachers at Morning Star School, an A-rated school for the rich and powerful in Accra after he revealed How they subjected him to bullying because of his Muslim faith.

As a nine year old whose parents could afford the school, the then class 4 pupil was subjected to various forms of bullying by the school teachers because they were Muslims and showed it.

Among other reasons as well, Fadi revealed he and his siblings did not attend morning devotion, an arrangement the school had reached with the kids’ father, which further annoy some of the teachers to bully them.

The Morning Star teachers humiliated the Daboussi kids in front of other pupils and lashed then with all forms of crude punishments including squatting at a spot for hours.

When reported, Morning Star authorities only “shyly reprimanded”, Fadi revealed.

Recently, the issue of bigotry and bullying in Senior High Schools has become a topical matter in Ghana and Fadi Daboussi’s ordeal reveal it is something at all levels of education and historic, not recent.

Fadi Daboussi made these chilling revelations when a parent was complaining about her kids being bullied in school by teachers

“Afia Adwubi when I was nine years old in class 4 at Morning Star, the teachers did not like me because my sister and I refused to attend morning devotion being Muslims even after my Dad had already arranged that with administration. I got attacked by a class 3 teacher and was made to squat on the spot from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm when the school bell went off. Each time I tried to rest I was lashed in the full glare of the pupils. It was a humiliating act of terror. The teacher was shyly reprimanded, but not fired. You cannot trust some of the teachers. It turned out that my class teacher was in cahoots with the class 3 teacher so he didn’t even bother to look for me. Take your daughter’s issue seriously before it gets too late. I have not been able to forgive the teachers yet and may GOD punish them infinitely.
