Regardless of who becomes the party’s flagbearer, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia says he is determined to ending the eight-year electoral cycle.
Dr. Bawumia, who has launched his presidential candidacy, believes that funding and strengthening the NPP’s internal structures will help the party achieve its goal of keeping power in 2024.
On behalf of the Vice President, Senior Advisor to the Vice President, Fred Oware, stated that approximately $700,000 has been provided to support party organization at all levels.
“I assure the party leadership that he is quite pleased with the approach and manner in which our party has been managed for the past four years, from the national to the polling station.
“And that he (Vice President) will continue to do everything in his power to assist the party’s structures and activities in order to guarantee that the party is strengthened and prepared for the 2024 break-the-eight campaign, regardless of who becomes the party’s flagbearer. As a result, he has asked me to make a donation to the region of 20,000 dollars and 2,000 dollars.”
Mr. Oware added that the Vice President is doing so because he believes that “once the party is properly lubricated with excellent leadership, we will be able to maintain the peace we have within the party and provide us strength for the next election.”
