The Obuasi West Constituency Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bright Nyampong has revealed how an asphalt road constructed under John Dramani Mahama’s administration in Obuasi was destroyed when a vulture landed on it.

Bright Nyampong expressed his gratitude to President Akufo-Addo’s government for the tremendous road construction in the Obuasi Constituency which is durable and stands the test of time.

Speaking in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the Obuasi West NPP Youth Organizer explained that “After the ‘so called’ asphalt road construction in Obuasi under John Dramani Mahama’s administration, a vulture stepped on the road and it developed potholes”.

When pushed to justify how a vulture can destroy an asphalt road he said “The contractor did a shoddy work because the government failed to finance the road with the full funding allocated to fix it”

“Under John Dramani Mahama’s administration, Obuasi Constituency was neglected in terms of development especially roads but under President Akufo-Addo’s government, Obuasi Constituency roads have seen a massive facelift”. Bright Nyampong explained.

He added that “Now under President Akufo-Addo’s Year of Road promise, Obuasi-Anwiankwanta road has been constructed making the road accessible for passengers and drivers who ply that section”.

“Though the contractor is yet to complete the Obuasi-Anwiankwanta road the road is far better under President Akufo-Addo’s government than how it was under former President John Dramani Mahama’s administration and other passed governments”
