CONAKRY-This is it! Alassane Dramane Ouattara and Nana Akufo Addo, completed this afternoon, in Conakry, an important mission of ECOWAS (economic community of West African States). The two heads of state had talks with the head of the junta, Colonel Mamady Doumbouya and were also able to meet Alpha Condé, at the Mohamed V palace.
Questioned before their departure, the two leaders declared having had fraternal and fraternal discussions with Colonel Doumbouya and his collaborators. Questioned also on the case of Alpha Condé, the deposed president, they indicated that the latter whom they met “is well”. On the other hand, no announcement was given in relation to his possible release.
“ I would like to thank my young brother, President Doumbouya and President of the CNRD. We also met my brother Alpha Condé who is doing well and we will keep in touch. Thank you to Guinea for the welcome, ”Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara said at the airport.
The President of Ghana, Nana Akufu Ado added that the delegation was able to meet and talk to Alpha Condé. He also affirms that the talks with Colonel Doumbouya were fraternal and fraternal.
“ We had fraternal and fraternal talks with Colonel Mamady Doumbouya and his collaborators. I think ECOWAS and Guinea will find a way to walk together. We met President Alpha Condé, we had discussions with him. We will see for the six months given for the organization of the elections ”, he declared.
The delegation of heads of state left Guinea this evening at the end of its visit.
