Ghana is believed to be a Christian country, in that over 70% of the population are said to be Christians. Many are those who are of the opinion that Ghana is God’s beloved country after Israel. Some even opine that we are the original Israelites because of some semblances between our indigenous culture and that of the Hebrews’.
In as much as the claims that Ghana is God’s second beloved country and Ghanaians are the original Hebrews cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubts, the fact still remains that the country is a very Christian-friendly one. Men of God from across the world from time to time collaborate with their local counterparts to set up revivals, crusades and mega conferences in the country.
During one of such mega conferences at the Maker’s Chapel International in Accra, which featured some great men of God in the country, Pastor Benny Hinn said a very powerful prayer for Ghana. He began by declaring the country for the Almighty God. He further declared the nation to forever be a Christian country.
The man of God went further to bind any demonic and foreign spirit that might seek to have dominion over our country Ghana. “No demonic power will have dominion over Ghana. No foreign demons and foreign spirits will have dominion over the government of Ghana”, he declared.
Pastor Benny Hinn went on the declare Ghana as a Holy Ghost nation two times. That means the man of God prayed that the people of this nation will avail themselves to be used by the Spirit of God. They will also always listen to the dictates of the Holy spirit and abide by them.
He by the power of the Most High, went further to dispell any power that is not of the Lord. “And Father, under the anointing, I also declare any power that is not of you to be dispelled. Drive it out in the name of Jesus”, he prayed.
He added a declaration that the people of Ghana will be free to worship, free to preach the Word of God, and free to declare the name of the Lord. Finally, he prayed that Ghana will influence the rest of Africa.
Christians present, mostly Ghanaians received the declarations with raised hands and lots of ‘amens’. That’s all good. The Bible says that before we ask, the Heavenly Father knows already. And so God is ever ready to pour out the answers to the prayers of his children. However, we as a people must have a change of mind to be able to receive in full the blessings the Lord has in store for us. We can’t sit back and expect that things will just fall in place. It doesn’t work that way.
We must exercise love and patience for one another. If we love one another, how possible would one think of murdering another for material gains? We must make a consious effort to hear the Holy Spirit and to do what is right at all times. Our Leaders must also ensure that systems are in place and working. If these things are not done, Ghana will still be the same irrespective of the amount of prayers poured on us.
