Speaking on a televised broadcast on Wontumi TV which was also carried live on Wontumi FM 101.3, he said the swift intervention by President Akufo-Addo has yielded results and must be commended.

He mentioned the partial lockdown in some parts of the country as a crucial measure by the President which has saved the nation from the devastating COVID-19.

Currently, some parts of the country including, the Greater Accra, Greater Kumasi, Kasoa and Tema are under a two-week lockdown.

Chairman Wontumi entreated Ghanaians to stay home during this period in order not to contract nor spread the dangerous Coronavirus.

‘The disease does not walk, human beings walk and as carriers we might spread it unknowingly.Let’s stay home and be safe,’ he emphasized.

The astute Politician reminded Ghanaians to follow the necessary protocols as announced by President Akufo-Addo to stay safe from contracting and spreading of the disease.

Chairman Wontumi noted that regular washing of hands with soap under running water for 20 seconds is a healthy style that keeps someone from the deadly COVID-19.

‘Let’s regularly wash our hands with soap under running water while at home to be safe from the virus,’ he explained.

The Regional Chairman called on all to practice social distancing as a measure to curtail the spread of the disease for a better Ghana.

He prayed that like the Biblical Moses, God will use President Akufo-Addo to sail through this turbulent moment for an economic emancipation.
