The woman engaged to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said she is “on the mend” after a week of coronavirus symptoms.

“I’ve spent the past week in bed with the main symptoms of coronavirus,” Carrie Symonds, who is pregnant, tweeted Saturday. “I haven’t needed to be tested and, after seven days of rest, I feel stronger and I’m on the mend.”

Symonds, who became engaged to Johnson, 55, at the end of 2019 and lives with him in his Downing Street flat, is isolating separately from the PM, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 27.

The infection has “hit him hard,” according to the Mirror.

In a video message posted Thursday to social media, Johnson said he still had a fever and would remain in the Downing Street flat until his symptoms subsided.

Symonds, 32, touched on her anxiety about having the coronavirus while she is pregnant.

“Being pregnant with Covid-19 is obviously worrying. To other pregnant women, please do read and follow the most up to date guidance which I found to be reassuring,” she wrote, including a link to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists coronavirus handout.
