An Accra High court has ordered the members of TUTAG to return to work

Striking lecturers and administrators of Technical Universities would begin teaching today in compliance with a court order secured by the National Labor Commission (NLC) authorizing them to return to the universities.

The teachers and senior administrators earlier defied the directives of the NLC despite an assurance by government to pay their allowances by January 29.

He said “if they serve us, we will consider our options because already as I talk to you now I’m at work. It’s the teaching that we are not doing and we are not writing exams but if they serve us we will consider”.

The NLC has also said it will continue to engage government to pay the outstanding allowances by the January 29 deadline.
